Brian R. Exelbert is a Senior Portfolio Management Director and Executive Director at Carlin Wealth Management at Morgan Stanley. The Group currently advises on approximately $6.3 billion* in assets for high net worth individuals and families, endowments, pension funds as well as for profit and not-for-profit institutions.
Brian’s team, Carlin Wealth Management, has been named to the Barron’s Top 100 Private Wealth Teams in the country each year since its inaugural listing in 2019, as well as Forbes America’s Top Private Wealth Management Teams in 2022, when it was first incepted. Most recently, Carlin Wealth Management was ranked the top team in Miami, Florida on the Forbes Best In State Wealth Management Teams list for 2023. Brian was also named to Forbes Best in State Wealth Advisors in 2023 and 2024.

As a native of Miami, Brian graduated from the Florida State University with a B.S. in Finance. Brian is an active supporter of the arts and education, and is a co-Founder of Wings for Wishes, an annual charity event where all proceeds go directly to Make-A-Wish Southern Florida where he currently sits on the Board of Directors and chairs the Investment Committee. He was a member of the Friends of New World Symphony Executive Committee, a past President of the South Florida Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and has been involved with fundraising campaigns to save the Olympia Theater at the Gusman Center.
Brian lives in Coconut Grove with his wife and two children. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, reading, yoga, playing soccer, and CrossFit.
